Our Story: The Journey to Authentic, Hand-Printed Apparel
Back in 2019, this brand started with a simple goal and a basic heat transfer vinyl setup. It did not take long to realize that the quality was not where it needed to be. I wanted something better, more durable, and truly high quality, so I started looking for alternatives.
That search led me to traditional screen printing.
I called around to local print shops and found a small shop just 15 minutes away. Working with them changed everything. I was able to push the boundaries of my artwork, elevate the quality of our garments, and build a real connection with people who loved what we were creating.
Then came the curveball: the shop was moving locations. Suddenly, I was out of a printer.
Unsure of what to do next, I reached out to see if they had any equipment they were willing to sell so I could learn the trade myself. With virtually nothing to my name at the time, I took a massive leap. I bought a basic 2-color screen printing press, a few inks, and the bare essential accessories.
Learning DIY screen printing on a tight budget meant getting creative and handling every single step from scratch:
- The DIY Setup: Curing screens in the bathroom, washing out emulsion in the bathtub, and letting screens sit outside to dry and cure.
- Mastering the Craft: Learning how to properly scale artwork, prep films, and position designs accurately onto screens so every print landed exactly where it should.
- Ethical Garment Sourcing: Partnering with eco-conscious and ethically driven manufacturers like LA Apparel to ensure the blanks matching my designs matched my values, too.
- The One-Man Operation: Managing order fulfillment, packing boxes, printing shipping labels, and keeping up with growing customer demand completely solo.
Step by step, I dialed in my process, refined my technique, and learned how to translate detailed digital artwork into crisp, high-quality physical prints.
To this day, I still use that exact same equipment. Is it a massive, industrial print shop? Absolutely not. But to me, that is what makes it special.
This brand is not about mass production or shiny factory floors. It is about authentic, genuine, hand-crafted quality. Every single piece is printed, packed, and shipped with intention, passion, and a deep respect for the process.
